The Fall and Winter Food Garden

September 15 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

| Free

The Master Gardener Food Gardening Specialists are presenting a free workshop at the Bayer Farm Community Garden. You will learn about the benefits of planting a fall garden and what grows best this time of year. If you are ready to put your garden to bed for the season, you will learn what steps you can take from planting a cover crop to mulching to other actions so that your garden’s soil will be in good shape for spring planting. Bring your garden gloves because we will be in the garden practicing the methods discussed. The workshop will be held from 10-11:30 a.m., and will include a tour of Bayer Farm which is located at 1550 West Avenue, Santa Rosa. Spanish translation available. No registration required.
