Summer in the Edible Garden – Planting & Care

This class will include strategies for planting, soil fertility, irrigation, pest, disease, and weed control. With good systems for on-going care, you can keep gardening fun while enriching your understanding of the garden ecosystem. We’ll also discuss training, pruning, harvesting and cooking from the garden.
Instructor: Wendy Krupnick has grown food crops for over 40 years. She was senior horticultural advisor for Shepherd’s Garden Seed Company, worked on several organic farms and garden projects, coordinated the market garden at SRJC’s Shone Farm and is Adjunct Faculty in the Sustainable Ag program.
