We have two raised beds along the side of our house (8'x4') where we grow vegetables that do well with less sun (lettuce, spinach, beets, carrots, peas, brocoli, cauliflower, swiss chard, pole beans, bush beans). We have an herb garden in mounds on the ground (basil, cilantro, marjoram, oregano, chives, mint) that also has onions and garlic. Finally, we have a smaller raised bed (3' x 5') in the sun where we grow tomatoes (romas, heirloom, and sweet golds), peppers (sweet and chiles), and japanese eggplant. We also have three blueberry bushes, a huge walnut tree, a grafted apple tree with fuji, mutsu crisp, and jonagold apples, and a sour cherry tree.
