The Original Community Garden is located  next to the Monte Rio Beach on the Russian River. Just behind Ferns Market, the property was donated by the Monte Rio Rec and Parks in 1993! The site has approximately 10 plots. After three floods over the last 17 years and fences we decided to move to a new location. Although this site is still active, we are in need of additional fencing which is beginning to develope hopefully with a local grant.

  The new garden site is near Dutchbill Creek also on Park and Rec property on the corner of Fir Street and Main directly behind the fire station. We have 20 plots and have enjoyed this season as our first in that location.
