Susan's permaculture wonderland

Front yard: Grass and junipers have been converted to a combination of edible and non-edible perennials suited for the region and a couple of large beds for planting annual vegetables and flowers. The whole system is on a water efficient drip system with lots of mulch to retain moisture.  Perennial edibles include: asparagus, artichoke, fejoa guava, pomegranate, satsuma manadarin, meyer lemon.

Back yard: As of April 2010 is in the process of being converted from grass to water efficient landscaping using the City of Santa Rosa "cash for grass" program. It will also include perennials appropriate for the region and a couple of beds for strawberries, blueberries, maybe raspberries, and also kiwi vines and veggie beds.  A chicken coup is in the plan for the future as well as a little greenhouse.
