We built four 4x8x19 raised beds. We used recycled 4x10's we got from Heritage Salvage in Petaluma. We lined beds with hardware cloth to keep the gophers at bay. Had Sequoia Landscape Materials make a custom blend for my beds. (most have too much compost and too little soil). Had complete soil test done trhough Harmony Farm Supply to make sure all nutrients were adequate. Ammended soil as results recommended.
We're planting tomato, cucumber, green beans, beets, basil, squash, carrots, peppers, and a few others. What we didn't plant from seed we bought from Harmony Farm Supply. They have a great selection of mostly organic veggie starts. (I'm biased, I work there)
We're also planting a small cut flower area in the beds.
