Sonoma Garden Park (The Park) is an educational community garden, park, and farm, managed by the Sonoma Ecology Center. The Park was donated to the City of Sonoma by Pauline Bond, a retired school teacher, in the early 1970’s. She generously left 6.1 acres of land to the City under the proviso that the land remains a public park. Today the Park is swimming with biodiversity of flora and fauna, including one of the oldest oak trees in Sonoma County.
Year round, our Harvest Market is open from 9:00 – 1:00 on Saturdays, where we sell an abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, flower bouquets, and honey from our bee hives in our straw bale barn. All our food is grown sustainably without using any harmful chemicals. The Park also provides workshops, field trips, tours, and is a beautiful setting for an outdoor gathering or event.
Additional Park features include a seasonal CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), community garden plots, demonstration gardens, chickens, bees, and a magical fig forest!
