THE ROSE FAMILY FARM
A LITTLE BIT(ALOT, REALLY) OF SOUTHERN FRANCE ORGANIC FARMING........THIS LESS THAN ACRE FARM IS A MODEL OF WHAT A SOUTHERN FRENCH FARM OR WEST SONOMA COUNTY FARM IN A BACK YARD could RESSEMBLE. You are most welcome to visit my little farm.pick apples, buy fresh cut stir fry veges, seasonal vegetables, fruits, jams and preserved fruits, also. I will be glad to consult with you on a fair hourly fee basis as to how you, also can have a very productive farm in your own yard(size of yard is NOT critical) We can taylor a garden that's just right. See here, at my farm..how a small antique apple orchard lends character to the property, while table grapes practically SUPPORT the fences:) Pear trees are laid out the French"espaliered" style along the fences . Olive and fig, and quince trees dot the landscape. Most all the ornamental flowers are edible and the three bee hives provide more than enough busy bees to pollinate EVERYTHING.........bumble bees, of COURSE ALSO ABOUND AND THEY "DO" THE TOMATOES...............so just phone me up at 707-823-5008 or visit with me at the Sunday market every week at the FRENCH GARDEN RESTAURANT AND BISTRO on Bodega Avenue 10-2:30pm.
I saved marvelous and unique french organic squash , bean and colored corn seeds from my just finished year as a woofer in southern France. I have great stories about my selling of produce in the Nice, old town produce market(marche aux fleurs dans le cours Saleya.every Saturday-google it)and I learned how easy we have it with our comparitively flat farm lands............The farms where i worked along the French Riviera are all carved out of tall hills and the terraces make for challenging getting to and from gardens while carrying cases of harvested produce!!
