She is surrounded by evergreens but gets some sun. we inherited a gorgeous a gravenstein apple tree in the back, three plums, a pear and a meyer lemon. She also has three large lavender bushes the bees love as well as a very old rosemary bush. Vegetable were added in backyard in 2010.
