I replaced the lawn and Juniper bushes in my front yard with perrennial flowers and shrubs, and a wonderful grafted pear tree that will yield 4 different types of pear.  I removed the lawn in my back yard, expanded the area, and added several garden boxes and borders.  I planted these with a Fuji apple tree, table grapes, two pomegranate trees, a meyer lemon tree, and many vegetables, including garlic, tomato, peppers, basil, squash, raspberries, strawberries, artichokes, onions, beets, parsley, carrots, lettuces, and more.
