So far, the garden consists of six pots, and will be filled with the following plants started from seeds:

lettuce, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, potatoes

I live on a beautiful old, non-working chicken ranch in Petaluma, which boasts incredible wildlife: gophers, deer, rabbits, hawks, foxes, racoons, and once in a while, barn cats. So my garden will be a daily challenge! I think I have thwarted the gophers by planting in pots. I've surrounded the tiny area with stakes and chicken wire, with a secret way for me to enter and exit , so perhaps the deer and rabbits will stay out. We shall see! So far, the baby plants are doing well and will be transplanted this weekend. I'm excited!
