A Garden of Eatin'

We have one large rectangular raised bed that runs the span of the backyard approx.  2' h x 3' w x 50' l. A  Triangular raised bed 2' h x 5'x5'x5', two smaller raised beds 1' h x 18" w x 3' l. we also have some this growing in pots and in the ground.

 

We have a year round garden that we map out every year/season. I like to purchase locally. I grow most from seed now. I make sure to look for GMO free and use no chemicals. The wood for our planters was purchased from a local recycled lumber yard and is untreated. We use all organic matter in the garden.

Our children are always involved in the process.

 

We have a gravenstein apple tree, black raspberries, blackberries, meyer lemon tree, Kale, Chard, Spinach, lettuce, strawberries, blueberries, lettuce (variety), corn, peas, Fava beans, pole beans, green beans, red and napa cabbages, 2xcauliflower, 2xbroccoli, artichokes, bell peppers, sport peppers, jalapeno peppers, sunflowers, watermelons, cantalopes, 4x cucumbers, zucchinis and squashes (several types), 7 variaties of tomatoes (violet jasper, tigerella, green zebra, sungold, brandywine, cherokee purple and Isis), eggplant, brussels, pumpkin, carrots, radish, celery, garlic, onions, rosemary, basil, sage, thyme, french sorrel, oregano, cilantro,and chives.
